The Document Feeder Is Detecting A Jam Immediately After I Put The Original

Copier Repair Tips > Copier Troubleshooting and Repair Tips > Document Feeder Tips & Fixes The feeder is detecting a jam immediately after I put the original. If the feeder display a jam every single time you put the original on top before you press any buttons, two things can cause that: There is a piece of paper blocking a sensor where the jam is being displayed.  Open any jam covers and inspect for pieces of paper There may not be paper there but the sensor may be dirty.   Dust off the areas where the jam is displayed If all fails, call your service center and have the copier services.  You can always ask the tech what the problem was and if it is something that you could have done your self, please be sure to post it on our copier forum REPLY to this article | 4 Comments Share this: Twitter  Facebook  More Also read these articles What Is Tearing Up Your Originals?
