Think of all the hours of downtime you will save!
Other times the copier technician might be able to tell you exactly what you can do yourself in order to continue making copies until he/she arrives.
Unless you don't mind waiting a few hours... worse... a few days!
So when you call local copier service department to place a service call, ask the person on the phone if he can have the technician give you a quick phone call
Let me give you an example...
There are many times when I would tell my customer keep the second drawer open and continue making copies from the other drawers.
Other times for example, I will tell them to turn off the copier, unplug the document feeder, turn the copier back on, and make copies from the glass.
It may sound like too much for you the customer to do but when it's 4 O'clock in the after noon and you need to get that document in the mail, it could be a life saver!
All it takes is a quick phone call from your copier technician.
