Copier Repair Tips > Copier Troubleshooting and Repair Tips > Copier Troubleshooting Guide If your copier has no power, it can be as basic as the power cord being unplugged.
No Power Test 1 - Is the copier plugged in?
Check both ends of the power cord to make sure the cord is plugged into the wall and to make certain the cord is plugged into the back of the copier.
Sometimes the cleaning people who come into the office at night will unplug cords out of the wall outlets to plug in their vacuum cleaners.
What if they unplugged the copier and then forgot to plug the cord back in when they are done?
Hmmmm...
No Power Test 2 - Is it the outlet?
If your copier has no power it could be the outlet. Try this before you call for sevice.
Try plugging something else in the copier's power outlet, something you know is working like a pencil sharpenener.
If it doesnt work neither, check the circuit breaker first before calling for service.

Re: Copier Repair Tips - No Power
I have looked for the obvious and found nothing wrong. I have power comming into the machine because when the main power switch located at the lower left rear of the machine is turned on there is an led light on top by the touch screen that comes on. However when I press the top left on/off button that normally powers up the touch screen, nothing happens. Is there a RESET button or FUSE that could be blown some where in the machine I could check? Is there an easy way to check the on/off switch? HELP! jake
