Copy Machine Makes Noise After Replacing The Toner

Copier Repair Tips > Copier Troubleshooting and Repair Tips > Copier Troubleshooting Guide

Q - The copy machine is making a strange noise. And I just replaced the toner bottle

A- If the bottle is not put in right, it will not turn, that will cause the turning gears to skip and that can be very loud, right after, it may throw codes.

If it was working fine before the new toner bottle, now it's not, chances are the bottle is not inserted properly.

What you need to do is to take the bottle completely out, close the door - with the bottle out - and let the machine cycle. Most likely, it will not be making strange noises at that time and no error codes should be popping up.

When the machine is done cycling, install the toner bottle (see procedures). If that doesn't work, then you call for service.
